Permission to Laugh Granted

Have had such sad days following the death of my mom-in-law last month. Yesterday in the company of Mami and Papi, who loved her as if they had known her their entire lives, I laughed during a road trip to a historic site for diversion. I really laughed. Not the fake chuckle that accompanies my, “I am fine, thank you.” We remembered good times with her, and the smiles that turned to laughs made way, gave me permission you could say, to laugh some more. So on this day when many celebrate the joy of love and hope, we are on our way to my husband’s hometown, so we can all be together after attending Easter services. Happy Easter.
